Order 15720 - Towing Companies: Towing Rates for Non-Consensual Tows

ORDER

WHEREAS: On August 27, 1998, the Division of Public Utilities and Carriers ("Division") issued Report and Order #15681 implementing a new rate for non-consensual or third party towing services. The new rates were accepted by a significant number of certificated tow companies listed by name in the aforementioned report and order.

WHEREAS: Subsequent to the issuance of that order, 4 additional towing companies filed requests for authorization to charge the same rates as contained in Report and Order #15681. The 4 towers are identified as follows:

Herb's Towing & Service Center, Inc. (MC-474)

2648 West Shore Road, Warwick, RI 02886

Morgera, Ciro & Michael, dba: Ciro's Garage & Oil Company (MC-837)

450 Bullocks Point Avenue, Riverside, RI 02915

Rogers, Jr., Charles J., Trustee of Plympton (MC-2248)

(company operating certificate - David Chenault, Inter City Towing, Inc.,

1835 South County Trail, East Greenwich, RI 02818

Russo, John J., dba: Russo's Towing (MC-2290)

P. O. Box 778, Slatersville, RI 02876

Accordingly, it is

(15720) ORDERED:

That the certificated towing companies listed above are authorized to charge the new rates for non-consensual tows, effective 5 days from the date of this order.
