PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION
IN RE: NCG LAUNCH SERVICES LLC
WATER TAXI RATES (2026 SEASON)
DOCKET NO. 25-42-FR
ORDER
On October 7, 2025, NCG Launch Services LLC (Company) filed its proposed water taxi rates for the 2026 season. The Company advised that it had recently been granted a certificate of public convenience and necessity by the Division of Public Utilities and Carriers. The water taxi will run between the Newport Harbor Island Resort, Bowen’s Landing, and the Ann Street pier. The resort will be charged a flat fee for the service. The service will be open to the general public and no ridership fare will be charged for use of the service.
The Public Utilities Commission (PUC) finds no good cause to suspend a $0.00 rate nor to conduct a hearing because no further investigation is required of a private contractual rate of compensation between the Company and the resort where there will be no rate impact on the water taxi riders. Therefore, in accordance with the unanimous vote on December 23, 2025, the rate is approved for effect May 22, 2026.
Accordingly, it is hereby
(25575) ORDERED:
NCG Launch Services LLC’s proposed water taxi ridership rate of $0.00 is hereby approved for effect May 22, 2026.
EFFECTIVE AT WARWICK, RHODE ISLAND ON MAY 22, 2026, PURSUANT TO AN OPEN MEETING DECISION ON DECEMBER 23, 2025, WRITTEN ORDER ISSUED JANUARY 9, 2026.
