City Council, March 8, 1995

A regular session of the City Council is held Wednesday, March 8, 1995, at eight eight o’clock p.m. All the members are present and President Barry presides.

The Clerk is instructed to send a communication to Roland Mousally, Executive Director, Pawtucket Housing Authority, to forward a copy of the communication from Fred Ihenacho, Director of Public Works, regarding the sewer line grease problems at Galego Court.

Mr. Ihenacho states that part of the solution to this problem would be the installation of grease separators in every building basement at Galego Court. The Council is suggesting that Mr. Mousally investigate whether there are federal monies available to pay for the costs of said installation.

Petition for AUTO REPAIR SHOP LICENSE of Broadway Auto Sales Inc., 458 Broadway (rear) Tax Assessors’ Plat 7, Lot 167, to keep a shop for repairing automobiles, which was advertised for a hearing at this time, it taken up:

Speaking in favor is Applicant Robert L. Billings, 101 Washburn Avenue, Rumford, RI.

Mr. Billings states that on February 22, 1995, he was granted a Second Hand Shop License and that he did not know that he needed an Auto Repair Shop License.

Mr. Billings states that he will use Lupine Street for the parking area.

He will only be doing minor and basic repairs. There will be no auto body work.

There are no other speakers.
