A regular session of the Pawtucket City Council is held Wednesday, November 7, 2007, at 7:47 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI. 

 

Present – President Bray, Councilors Barry, Grebien, Hodge, Kinch, Moran and Wildenhain.

 

Absent – Councilors Carr and Chadwick.

 

President Bray presides.

 

Councilor Barry invites former Senator John F. McBurney, Jr. to the podium.

 

Councilor Barry presents Senator McBurney with a resolution congratulating him on his recognition by the Government of France, and expressing our gratitude and pride for the service he and so many others gave to the community and nation while serving in France during World War II.

THE COUNCIL TAKES UP THE FOLLOWING AMENDMENT, SUBMITTED BY THE ORDINANCE COMMITTEE, WITH THE RECOMMENDATION FOR APPROVAL:

 

Add the following to the end of Section 1. Zoning Map Amendment:

 

The official zoning maps identified in Chapter 410.3 are hereby amended by removing the following property from the overlay historic district, in accordance with Title 45, Chapter 24.1 of the General Laws of Rhode Island, by address and City Engineer’s Plat and Lot; 87 Park Place; Plat 53, Lots 156 and 157.

With majority consent of the Council, Councilor Hodge introduces the following amendment:

 

Amend the 2nd paragraph of Section 1. Zoning Map Amendment, as follows:
