A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners was held Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 6:54 p.m., in the Temporary City Council Chambers, 2nd Floor, 100 Freight St., Pawtucket, RI. Video

 

Present – President Mercer, Councilors Araujo, Coderre, Gregor, Moran, Moreno, and Wildenhain.

 

Absent – Councilors Rubio and Stachowiak.

 

Chairperson Mercer presided.

 

1.      The reading of the records of June 25, 2025 was dispensed with and the records were APPROVED as prepared by the Clerk. Video

 

 

2.      Upon motion made by Councilor Araujo, seconded by Councilor Moreno, the *Consent Agenda was APPROVED, on a unanimous voice vote. Video

Speaking was Sam Shorr, 22 Montgomery Street, Pawtucket, RI, applicant.

 

Mr. Shorr stated that he manufactures animation machines as his day job. He owned a restaurant in Los Angeles.

 

This restaurant will be an upscale bistro. 

 

He will serve grilled foods.

 

There will be 40 people maximum.

 

He will be open four or five days per week to start.  The hours will be 5:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.  Eventually he will be open seven days a week and will be open mornings.

 

There will be no live music; he will have a sound system.

 

There were no other speakers. The hearing was closed.
