Special Town Council Meeting

May 17, 2022

A. CALL TO ORDER

Vice President James Palmisciano called the meeting of the Richmond Town Council to order at 5:30 P.M. held on May 17, 2022. This meeting was held In-Person at Richmond Town Hall, 5 Richmond Townhouse Road, Wyoming, RI.

B. ROLL CALL

Town Council Members present in Council Chambers were as follows: Vice President James Palmisciano, Councilor Ronald Newman, Councilor Rich Nassaney and Councilor Lauren Cacciola. Not present: Council President Nell Carpenter. Also present Town Administrator Karen D. Pinch, Tax Collector Marcy Alves, Town Solicitor Karen Ellsworth and Town Clerk Erin Liese.

B. NEW BUSINESS

Please Note in Accordance with Section 42-46-6 (b) the Council May Review, Discuss and/or take Action on the following items:

1) Consideration of Request from Stephanie Malo for a tax payment agreement for delinquent taxes due for property located at 187 Carolina Nooseneck Rd, and further designated as Assessor’s Plat 4C- Lot 6

Stephanie Malo was present and thanked the Council for the consideration.

Tax Collector Alves explained the proposed agreement.

Councilor Nassaney questioned if that location was a grow sight. Ms. Malo explained the previous owner had a grow; however she was not growing.

Councilor Newman questioned what would happen if Ms. Malo missed a payment. Tax Collector Alves stated the property could be listed for tax sale.

Ms. Malo stated she could meet the terms of the agreement.

A motion was made by Councilor Cacciola with second by Councilor Newman to approve the Request from Stephanie Malo for a tax payment agreement for delinquent taxes due for property located at 187 Carolina Nooseneck Rd, and further designated as Assessor’s Plat 4C- Lot 6. Vote: Vice President Palmisciano, Aye Councilor Newman, Aye; Councilor Cacciola, Aye; Councilor Nassaney, Aye

D. ADJOURNMENT

A motion was made by Councilor Newman with second by Councilor Cacciola to adjourn at 5:35 P.M. Vote: Vice President Palmisciano, Aye Councilor Newman, Aye; Councilor Cacciola, Aye; Councilor Nassaney, Aye
