1. Introduction of New Planning Board Member, Dana Millar
At the December 17, 2024 Town Council meeting, Mr. Dana Millar was appointed to the Planning Board.
2. Selection of Planning Board Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary
The Planning Board will discuss, consider, and vote to appoint a Planning Board Chair, a Planning Board Vice Chair, and a Planning Board Secretary.
3. Annual Planning Board Report to Town Council
Pursuant to Title 4, Chapter 4.28, Section 4.28.040(a) of the Code of Ordinances, “[t]he Planning Board shall report annually to the Town Council, summarizing the work during the preceding year and recommending programs, plans, and actions for future development.” The Planning Board will review the summary of work completed in 2024, and discuss, consider, and vote on the summary, which shall be submitted to the Town Council. The Planning Board will discuss, consider, and vote on any recommendations for “programs, plans, and actions for future development”, which shall be submitted to the Town Council.
4. Update on Municipal Technical Assistance Program (MTAP) Route 138 Corridor Study Draft
The Town Planner will provide an update on the status of the Draft.
1. Preliminary Plan – Public Hearing – Perry Hills Conservation Subdivision – Punchbowl Development Corporation, 118 Jane Street, North Providence, RI 02904 (applicant/owner) for a six (6) lot minor subdivision, with a private right-of-way, located at 0 Punchbowl Trail, Plat 5E, Lot 5.1. Five (5) of the proposed lots will support single-family homes, while one (1) of the proposed lots will be set aside as Open Space for the proposed development.
The Planning Board will discuss, consider, and possibly vote on the Preliminary Plan application for the proposed Perry Hills Conservation Subdivision.
1. Waiver Request – Unified Development Plan Review – Pavlov’s Playcare – Pavlov’s Playcare for Dogs, LLC, 1 Preserve Boulevard, Wyoming, RI 02898 (applicant) and Offshore Development, LLC., 400 South County Trail, Suite A-207, Exeter, RI 02822 (owner) for a proposed dog daycare (Use Code 754), located at 93 Kingstown Road, Wyoming, RI 02898, Plat 5B, Lot 45.
The Planning Board will discuss, consider, and possibly vote on the applicant’s waiver request.
1. The Richmond Housing Needs Survey is still open. To date, the Affordable Housing Committee has received over 300 responses. Please complete the survey if you have not already done so.
2. Solicitor Chris Zangari was reappointed to his position as Town Solicitor by the Town Council, to serve until January 31, 2026, at the January 7, 2025 Town Council Meeting.
