Discussion and/or Potential action, announcement and/or vote(s) from Executive Session and/or Open Session concerning the job performance, character, and/or physical and/or mental health as related to the contract of Building/Zoning Official.

 

C.   The Town Council may convene into Executive Session to discuss, take possible action, and/or vote regarding litigation pursuant to the relevant requirements of R.I. General Laws § 42-46-5(a) Subsection (2) Collective Bargaining (Union negotiations with NAGE Local R1-42 for new collective bargaining agreement beginning July 1, 2022). Discussion and/or Potential action, announcement and/or vote(s) from Executive Session and/or Open Session concerning negotiations with NAGE Local R1-42 for new collective bargaining agreement beginning July 1, 2022.

10. Town Business—Review, Discussion and/or Potential Action and/or Vote:

 

A.   An update from EMA Director John Robinson on the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

B.   Presentation and possible approval of 5 year capital plan to be submitted to the Rhode Island Department of Education (“RIDE”) as recommended by School Building Committee and approved by School Committee; authorization for Town Council President to submit letter of approval/support on behalf of Town Council.

 

C.   Recommendation from the Police Chief to promote Sergeant Francis Rambone to Detective Sergeant.  Terms and conditions of employment in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between the Town and International Brotherhood of Police Officers (“IBPO”) Local 502.

 

D.   Request from the Town Treasurer to approve a one-year extension to the contract with Baxter, Dansereau and Associates to complete the upcoming audit for the Fiscal Year ending March 31, 2022; extension subject to additional approval by the R.I. Auditor General

 

E.   Consideration of withdrawal of up to fifty percent (50%) of any year end surplus the Town may have net from its July 1 revenue premium per Section 6 of the WB Community Health and Member Municipal Bodies Health Benefits Project Agreement.
