B.   Announcement to Huntinghouse Lane residents to remind them of the Voluntary Guidelines Concerning Private Driveways (see attached guidelines) Video Icon

 

C.   Authorization for the Purchasing Agent to post a Request for Proposals for a Brush Truck rehab update for the Chopmist Hill Fire Department.  Funding for this rehabilitation will be taken from the Public Safety Bond. Video Icon

 

D.   Request from the Scituate Housing Authority for the Town to provide authorization for the Rhode Island Department of Health to do an assessment of the wells that service the Scituate High School to determine if they can provide adequate for the Rockland Oaks community. Video Icon

 

E.   Renewal of Lease Agreements with the Providence Water Supply Board concerning Lot 0 on Tax Assessor’s Plat 53 for Town Hall parking lot and the North Scituate Fire Department buildings for a ten (10) year term at a rate of $2,700 per year. Video Icon

 

F.   Request from the Scituate Town Council to schedule a joint meeting with the Scituate School Committee regarding the ongoing issues with Caito Field. Video Icon

 

G.  Consideration of allowing the Department of Public Works to repair Manning Field. Video Icon

 

H.  Announcement by the Scituate Land Trust of receiving $290,000 federal grant to help with reforestation and revitalization of Esek Hopkins Park; Authorization for the Finance Director and Town Council President to execute on behalf of the Town any and all documents necessary for the Land Trust to receive said grant monies. I.    Authorization for the Town Council Vice President and Recreation Director to negotiate an extension of the annual lease agreement between the Town and Hope Associates governing the use of Hope Associates’ properties. Video Icon

 

J.    Authorization from the Town Council to extend the contract for the time designated with the original bid from Village Gas, to provide fuel to the Police Department and Senior Services through August 12, 2024. Video Icon

 

K.   Request for permission to host five booths for the Art Festival at 143 Danielson Pike, which is owned by JT&U Petroleum, LLC. The lot is adjacent to 141 Danielson Pike (Village Gas) and has the same owner. Video Icon

 

L.   Formation and appointment of an ad hoc Threat Assessment Committee to review the Scituate School buildings to consist of Police Chief Eric Rollinson, EMA Director John Robinson, DPW Director Kirk Loiselle, and School Buildings and Grounds Administrator Jason Martin. Video Icon

 

M.  Authorization from the Town Council for Finance Director/Tax Assessor Karen Beattie to attend the International Association of Assessing Officer’s conference in Boston, August 28 through September 1, 2022.  Registration and accommodation expenses were appropriated in the Tax Assessor’s budget approved at the 2022 Financial Town Meeting. P.   Request from the Town Treasurer for authorization from the Town Council to approve use of American Rescue Plan Act (“ARPA”) funds to be used to evaluate Town Hall expansion not to exceed $25,000, from the state Master Pricing Agreement (“MPA”). Video Icon

 

Q.  Recommendation from the Purchasing Agent and DPW Director to award Plan B Construction as sole bidder in an amount not to exceed $27,800.00 to paint the exterior of the North Scituate Community House. Video Icon

 

R.   Ratification of the Purchasing Agent & Treasurer’s purchase of DynaPacc CC 1200 Roller in the amount of $43,000 from the ARPA funds from a state MPA vendor. Video Icon
