A.   Energy presentation by Rita Moran of Power Options, a non-profit energy consortium available to the Town through the Rhode Island League of Cities and Towns Energy Aggregation Program (REAP).  Possible authorization for Town Treasurer, in consultation with the Finance Director and Town Council President, to sign any and all documents to effectuate a future Electricity Participant Agreement if and when the Treasurer determines that rates/prices are such that it is advantageous to the Town to lock-in for a period of time.

 

B.   Request from the Director of Animal Control and Police Chief to have the Town Solicitor draft amendments to the Code of Ordinances concerning penalties and fees related to animal control and the Town Animal Control Shelter.

 

C.   Request from the Police Chief for permission to attend the FBI training, March 10 – March 14, 2024, with overnight travel to Massachusetts using the police vehicle, hotel stay and training costs not to exceed $1,461.28. 

 

D.   Recommendation from the Police Chief for the following candidate to be hired from the Police Officer recruitment process, subject to completion of all necessary hiring processes:  Lateral recruit candidate Raymond T. Peters for probationary police officer position; terms and conditions of employment in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement with the IBPO.
