Convene into executive session to consider, discuss, and act upon matters pursuant to Rhode Island General Laws Section 42-46-5(a)(1), Personnel; to interview S. James Busam and Scott E. Boyd for possible reappointment to a Town board or commission and Rhode Island General Laws Section 42-46-5(a)(2) Pending Litigation/Arbitration (A.A.A. Case # 01-21-0017-9549, Mark Blakley): Discussion and possible vote authorizing the Town Manager and Labor Counsel to finalize any settlement agreements arising from the above referenced pending arbitration.

B.  Move that the minutes of the April 5, 2022 open meeting be approved as recorded.

 

VII.      Consider, discuss, and act upon the following possible appointments and reappointments: 

 

A.  Board of Canvassers appointment with a term expiring in March of 2027.

 

B.  Personnel Board reappointment with a term expiring in March of 2025.

G.  Consider, discuss, and act upon authorizing a lease agreement for a regional animal shelter.

 

H.  Sitting as the Water Supply Board, consider, discuss, and act upon authorizing a request for qualifications for on-call professional engineering & consulting services.

 

I.    Sitting as the Water Supply Board, consider, discuss, and act upon authorizing a contract award, through the RI Master Price Agreement #3500118 – CR‐45 Architectural and Engineering Services, with Pare Corporation to design the North Providence Pressure Control Project in an amount not to exceed one hundred and seven thousand and seventy-five dollars ($107,075).

 

J.   Consider, discuss, and act upon a contract extension with Hague, Sahady & Co., P.C. for financial audit services in the amount of fifty-eight thousand and five hundred dollars ($58,500).

 

K.  Consider, discuss, and act upon authorizing a waiver of a preemptive right to purchase property located at 125 George Washington Highway (Plat 361, Parcel 9).

 

L.   Consider, discuss, and act upon approving the proposed American Rescue Plan Act Funding Program.

 

M. Consider, discuss, and act upon approving tax abatements in the amount of three thousand dollars and fourteen cents ($3,000.14).
