Convene into executive session to consider, discuss, and act upon matters pursuant to Rhode Island General Laws Section 42-46-5(a)(1) Personnel; to interview Russell Marsella, Richard St. Sauveur, Christopher Boyle, Barbara Rich, Barbara Bowry and Peter Pare for possible appointment or reappointment to a Town board or commission.
- Announce any executive session votes required to be disclosed pursuant to Rhode Island General Laws, Sec. 42-46-4.
A. Move that the minutes of the February 11, 2025 work session meeting be approved as recorded.
B. Move that the minutes of the February 18, 2025 executive session meeting held pursuant to Rhode Island General Laws Section 42-46-5(a)(1) Personnel; to interview Brandon Reilly, Tania Alexander, Gary Alexander, Pamela Palumbo, William C. Phillips, and Michael Lima for possible appointment to a Town board or commission and Section 42-46-5(a)(5) Real Estate; potential acquisition or lease of real property be approved as recorded and sealed.
C. Move that the minutes of the February 18, 2025 open session meeting be approved as recorded.
A. Traffic Safety Commission appointment for a life term.
A. Continue a public hearing to consider, discuss, and act upon Zoning Ordinance amendments to Article 9 “Special Districts”, to add Section 9.5 entitled “Davis Liquid Waste Superfund Site – Groundwater Protection Overlay District”.
B. Schedule a public hearing on March 18, 2025 for the submission of the Town of Smithfield’s 2024 RIPDES Stormwater Report to RIDEM.
C. Conduct a public hearing to consider, discuss, and act upon approving the renewal of the Intoxicating Beverage Licenses, as listed, as applied, subject to compliance with all State regulations, local ordinances and a Certificate of Good Standing from the RI Division of Taxation.

The parties will take place at the Smithfield Senior Center, 1 William J. Hawkins, Jr. Trail from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., as applied, subject to all State regulations and local ordinances.
A. Consider, discuss, and act upon accepting the Town of Smithfield’s 2024 annual RIPDES Stormwater Report and authorizing the Town Manager to submit to RIDEM.
B. Consider, discuss, and act upon adopting a resolution in support of the Rhode Island League of Cities and Towns’ 2025 legislative priorities.
C. Consider, discuss, and act upon authorizing a bid award for custodial services at the Town Hall, Ice Rink, and Department of Public Works.
D. Consider, discuss, and act upon authorizing the Fire Department to enter into contract with Chief360 of Georgetown, DE for a sole source purchase replacement of the emergency alerting system in the amount of eighty thousand, one hundred forty-one dollars, and zero cents ($80,141.00) to be funded by Municipal Public Safety Infrastructure Grant funds.
