Convene into executive session to consider, discuss, and act upon matters pursuant to Rhode Island General Laws Section 42-46-5(a)(1) Personnel; to interview Michael Austin for possible appointment to a Town board or commission and Section 42-46-5(a)(2); Pending Litigation: West Greenville Road, LLC vs Town of Smithfield PC-2025-05420.

VI.            Minutes:

A.    Move that the minutes of the June 2, 2026 Executive Session meeting held pursuant to Rhode Island General Laws Section 42-46-5(a)(1) Personnel; to interview Adam LaGreca, Brian Thalmann, Frank Smith, and Matthew DeAngelis for possible appointment to a Town board or commission, Section 42-46-5(a)(2); Collective Bargaining: Fire Department IAFF and Police Department FOP, Pending Litigation; West Greenville Road, LLC vs. Town of Smithfield PC-2025-05420 and Section 42-46-5(a)(5) Real Estate; potential acquisition, sale or lease of real property be approved as recorded and sealed.

B.    Move that the minutes of the June 2, 2026 open session meeting be approved as recorded.

VII.         Consider, discuss and act upon the following possible appointments and reappointments:

A.    Zoning Board reappointment with a term expiring in May of 2027.

B.    Zoning Board appointment with a term expiring in May of 2027.

VIII.       Public Hearings: 

A.    Schedule a public hearing on July 21, 2026 to consider, discuss, and act upon Town Charter amendments as proposed by the Smithfield Charter Review Commission.

IX.            Licenses:  None

X.              Old Business: None

XI.            New Business:

A.    Discussion concerning the Overbrook Academy property located at 60 Austin Avenue.
