A.    Schedule a public hearing on October 6, 2026 to consider, discuss, and act upon amending the Code of Ordinances to add Chapter 351 entitled “Outdoor Clothes and Book Donation Bins”.

IX.            Licenses: 

A.    Consider, discuss and act upon approving amendments to an existing Peddler’s License for A & W of Rhode Island, Inc., d/b/a “A & W”, 460 Putnam Pike, to include the sale of novelty toys and fireworks, as applied, subject to compliance with all State regulations and local ordinances.

X.              Old Business:

A.    Consider, discuss, and act upon authorizing payment of Town Aided Funds in the amount of twelve thousand dollars and zero cents ($12,000.00) to WellOne Primary Medical and Dental Care.

B.    Consider, discuss, and act upon authorizing payment of Town Aided Funds in the amount of two thousand, five hundred dollars and zero cents ($2,500.00) to the Blackstone Valley Tourism Council.

C.    Consider, discuss, and act upon authorizing payment of Town Aided Funds in the amount of ten thousand dollars and zero cents ($10,000.00) to the Smithfield Historical Society.

XI.            New Business:

A.    Consider, discuss, and act upon authorizing payment of Town Aided Funds in the amount of two thousand, five hundred dollars and zero cents ($2,500.00) to the Sojourner House.

B.    Consider, discuss, and act upon authorizing the name of Whipple Field #2 in honor of the memory of Steven A. Marcaccio, Jr.

C.    Consider, discuss, and act upon authorizing the purchase, through the Greater Boston Police Council, of one (1) 2027 Ford F-150, 4-wheel drive, crew-cab pickup truck from Colonial Municipal Group of Plymouth, MA in the amount of sixty-four thousand, six hundred eleven dollars and zero cents ($64,611.00) to be funded from the Capital Budget.

D.    Consider, discuss, and act upon authorizing a request for proposals for bleacher railings at the Smithfield Ice Rink.

E.     Consider, discuss, and act upon a bid award for lavatory renovations at Smithfield High School on behalf of the School Department.

F.     Consider, discuss, and act upon authorizing tax abatements in the amount of six thousand, four hundred sixty-seven dollars, and seventy-nine cents ($6,467.79).

G.    Consider, discuss, and act upon adopting a resolution for the institution of a policy for the negotiation and ratification of Collective Bargaining Agreements.
