REGULAR SESSION

 

NOVEMBER 6, 2017

 

At a REGULAR SESSION of the Town Council of the Town of South Kingstown, County of Washington, in the State of Rhode Island, held at the Town Hall, in and for said Town on the 6^th day of November 2017 at 6:00 PM.

 

            PRESENT:    Margaret M. Healy, President

                                    Abel G. Collins, Vice President

1.         A.        PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG

 

The Pledge of Allegiance to the flag is given.

 

B.        ROLL CALL

 

Roll Call is taken and all members are present.

 

Also present, S. Ellis Hankins, Senior Vice President, The Mercer Group, Inc., consultant hired to conduct an executive search for South Kingstown’s next Town Manager due to the retirement of Stephen A. Alfred, Town Manager.

 

It is noted that all candidates whose applications are under consideration this evening have been notified of said Closed Executive Session.

 

2.         CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION

 

A.        UNANIMOUSLY VOTED:  to recess to Closed Executive Session pursuant to RIGL §42-46-5(a)(1) to discuss matters pertaining to personnel regarding review of town manager applications.

 

Reconvened to Regular Session at 8:08 PM.

 

UNANIMOUSLY VOTED:  to seal the minutes of the Closed Executive Session held pursuant to RIGL §42-46-5(a)(1) to discuss matters pertaining to personnel regarding review of town manager applications.

 

UNANIMOUSLY VOTED:  to adjourn at 8:09 PM.
