REGULAR SESSION

At a REGULAR SESSION of the Town Council of the Town of South Kingstown, County of Washington, in the State of Rhode Island, held at the Town Hall, in and for said Town on the 16^th day of August 2021 at 7:00 PM.

2.         PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG

 

The Pledge of Allegiance is given.

 

3.         ROLL CALL

 

Roll Call is taken and all members are present.

 

4.         NEW BUSINESS

 

A.        A motion to authorize a Request for Proposals for consulting services for a professional executive search for recruitment of a new Town Manager is made by Council Vice President McEntee, and seconded by Councilwoman Rose.

 

Discussion ensues.

 

The Town Solicitor reviews the Town Charter provisions for the Interim Town Manager position, and the Request for Proposals which has been prepared and is being presented to the Town Council for approval.

 

Discussion ensues, and it is

 

UNANIMOUSLY VOTED: to authorize a Request for Proposals for consulting services for a professional executive search for recruitment of a new Town Manager.

 

A motion to adjourn is made by Councilwoman Kelso, and seconded by Council Vice President McEntee.

 

Councilwoman Rose asks to add the removal of Exhibit O from the AFL-CIO mailer investigation report to the Agenda for discussion.

The Town Solicitor advises that a motion to adjourn has been made and seconded and must be voted on, but if it fails then a vote can be taken to add the report to the Agenda for discussion.

 

A roll call vote is taken, and it is

 

VOTED: to adjourn at 7:09 PM.

 

Councilwoman Bergner and Councilwoman Rose voted no.
