NOTICE

The following Public Hearings scheduled to be heard Monday, November 25, 2024 have been continued to Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 7:30 PM located in the Town Council Chambers, 180 High St, Wakefield, RI 02879:

1.         A Public Hearing relative to proposed amendments to the Town Code, Chapter 2 Administration, Article III. Boards and Commissions, Section 2-41 Historic district commission that would expand the Historic District Commission’s duties.

2.         A Public Hearing relative to proposed amendments to the Town’s Zoning Ordinance, Article 1. Establishment of Districts and Official Zoning Map, Section 101 B. Commercial, Article 3 Use Regulations, Section 301 Schedule of Use Regulations Table, Article 503 Accessory Uses, Appendix B. Parcels Subject to Special Conditions of Previous Zoning Amendments, Article 12. Definitions; to the Town Code, Chapter 9 Licenses and Miscellaneous Business Regulations, Article 1 In General, Section 9-19 Hours of Operations of Certain Businesses; and to the Town’s Zoning Map adding a CN-M (Commercial Neighborhood – Matunuck) Zoning District; Applicant Tidestorm, LLC.

3.         A Public Hearing relative to the renewal of Liquor Licenses for the year beginning December 1, 2024 said licenses are granted contingent upon the issuance of a Certificate of Good Standing from the Rhode Island Division of Taxation, issuance of a Certificate of Insurance evidencing required liability coverage, compliance with all Town Ordinances and regulations, the payment of any municipal taxes, user fees and lease payments in arrears to the Town, and the correction of any fire code violations.
