1.         6:00 PM - Call to Order

 

A. Call to Order

 

Roland Benjamin called the March 20, 2018 School Committee meeting to order at 6:11 PM.

 

2.         The School Committee may seek to convene in executive session in accordance with R.I. Gen. Laws for the purpose(s) of:

 

            A. Personnel (RIGL 42-46-5(a)(1)) - discussion regarding job performance of and      recommendation to terminate employment of NEASK member

 

The affected party had been notified in advance in writing, and opted not to have discussion held in open session.

 

MSV (1) move to enter executive session for the purpose of personnel at 6:11 PM.

Seconded by  Michelle Brousseau

Vote:  Unanimously Approved

 

3.         Open Session

 

The School Committee returned to open session at 8:02 PM.

 

Roland Benjamin reported a vote taken in executive session to accept the Superintendent’s recommendation to terminate the employment of a NEASK member.  Motion by Brousseau, second by Mosher.  Vote was 6-1 (Collins-nay).

 

MSV (4) move to seal the minutes of the executive session.

Vote:  Unanimously Approved

 

4.         Adjournment

 

A. Adjourn meeting

 

MSV (5) move to adjourn at 8:05 PM.
