WARREN TOWN COUNCIL MEETING

 

The Town Council of the Town of Warren, State of Rhode Island in Bristol County met in person, and live-streamed Wednesday the 27th day of September 2023, the meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM.

Present:  Council President John Hanley, Vice President Steven Calenda, Councilman Joseph DePasquale, Councilmember Keri Cronin and  Councilman P. Brandt Heckert.

SOLICITOR:

 

      1. Request a motion for the executive session (closed session) pursuant to RIGL

            § 42-46-5 (a) (2), litigation update on Pereira v. Town of Warren.

 

Motion by Vice President Steven Calenda, seconded by Councilman Joseph DePasquale

for executive session (closed session) pursuant to RIGL § 42-46-5 (a) (2), litigation update

on Pereira v. Town of Warren.

 

Roll call: Councilmember Keri Cronin, Councilman P. Brandt Heckert, Councilman Joseph

DePasquale, Vice President Steven Calenda and  Council President John Hanley all affirmative.

 

Motion by Vice President Steven Calenda, seconded by Councilman Joseph DePasquale to

resume in open session. The motion passed unanimously

 

Motion by Councilman Joseph DePasquale, seconded by Vice President Steven Calenda to seal the minutes.  The motion passed unanimously.

 

      2.            Action on matters discussed in executive session.

Motion by Councilman Joseph DePasquale, seconded by Vice President Steven Calenda to instruct Town Solicitor and Trust Attorney Mark DeSisto to proceed as discussed in executive session to accept the proposal forwarded by interlocal trust and town attorney pending court approval. The motion passed unanimously.

Adjournment:

 

Councilman Joseph DePasquale, seconded by Vice President Steven Calenda to adjourn the meeting.  The motion passed unanimously.
