Warren Town Charter -Article XVIII. Budget Section 18.09

Initial Budget Hearing

The Town Council shall schedule a public hearing no later than January 15 for the

purpose of discussing and soliciting comments from the residents relating to the

general goals and objectives of the budget for the next fiscal year, prior to the

preparation and presentation of a proposed budget by the Town Manager. Matters for

discussion and consideration may include, without limitation, any increase or decrease

in taxes, proposed new projects, contractual obligations, and other items affecting the

budget. Notice of the hearing shall be published no less than ten (10) calendar days prior to the hearing.
