Initial Budget Hearing

The Town Council shall schedule a public hearing no later than January 15 for the

purpose of discussing and soliciting comments from the residents relating to the

general goals and objectives of the budget for the next fiscal year, prior to the

preparation and presentation of a proposed budget by the Town Manager. Matters for

discussion and consideration may include, without limitation, any increase or decrease

in taxes, proposed new projects, contractual obligations, and other items affecting the

budget. Notice of the hearing shall be published no less than ten (10) calendar days prior to the hearing.

2. Discussion and action regarding the repair of Jamiel’s Park driveway.

3. Discussion and action to add the following tasks to a list to be sent to RIDOT as Town of Warren priorities for State Road maintenance, upkeep, and safety improvements: (Councilman Rego)

·         Pedestrian Crosswalks at Crossroads Restaurant, Market Street Pub, and the top of Miller Street.

·         Move location of crosswalk on Main Street closer to the corner.

·         Repair and paint the traffic light on Main and Market.

·         Clean State sidewalks. 

4. Discussion and action to have the downtown lamp posts repaired and painted as needed. (Councilman Rego)
