1.         Approval of Minutes

 

Motion to approve the minutes of July 10, 2023, was made by Mr. Villa and seconded by Mr.  Barrette.  The vote was unanimous.

2.         New Business

 

Election of Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Planning Board

 

A motion was made by Mr. Villa to nominate Felix Appolonia for the Chairman of the Planning Board and seconded by Mr. Barrette.  The vote was unanimous.

A motion was made by Mr. Villa to nominate Josh Barrette for the Vice-Chairman of the Planning Board and seconded by Ms. Rubery.  The vote was unanimous.

3.         Advisory Opinion to Town Council for Revisions to advertising requirements for applications requiring a public hearing Section16 and 27 of the Town of West Warwick Land Development and Subdivision Regulations.

 

A motion was made by Mr. Barrette to render a favorable Advisory Opinion to Town Council for Revisions to advertising requirements for applications requiring a public hearing Section16 and 27 of the Town of West Warwick Land Development and Subdivision Regulations to conform with RIGL and seconded by Mr. Coutu.  The vote was unanimous.

4.         Advisory Opinion to Town Council for Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance Section 3 -Definitions and Section 5 – Use Regulations of the West Warwick Zoning Ordinance – Self Storage.

 

A motion was made by Mr. Barrette to render a favorable Advisory Opinion to Town Council for Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance Section 3 -Definitions and Section 5 – Use Regulations of the West Warwick Zoning Ordinance – Self Storage and seconded by Ms. Rubery. The vote was unanimous.

A representative from 225 Partners LLC of 225 Cowesett Ave, West Warwick, spoke in favor of the Self-Storage Ordinance.
