A.         Meeting called to Order

 

The meeting was called to order by President Gosselin at 6:06 p.m.

 

B.         Roll Call

 

Members Present:

 

Councilman Licciardi

Councilman Messier (arrived 6:10 p.m.)

Councilwoman Williamson

Council Vice President D'Amico

Council President Gosselin

 

Members Absent: None

 

C.         Quorum on Record Declared by Town Council Clerk

 

 

The Town Council Clerk declared a quorum for the record

 

D.         Resolution for Fees and Charges of the Town of West Warwick (previously tabled) (Waste Water Treatment Facility)

(Sponsored by Councilman Licciardi) APPENDIX B, FEES AND CHARGES OF THE TOWN OF WEST WARWICK

 

Councilwoman Williamson moved to take the item off the table, seconded by Council Vice President D’Amico.

E.         Fiscal Year – 2021 (July 1, 2020- June 30, 2021) – Proposed Budget

 

     TOWN BUDGET:                                        $101,751,513

 

     TOTAL ESTIMATED REVENUE

     OTHER THAN PROPERTY TAX:               $ 34,504,376

 

     TOTAL ESTIMATED TO BE RAISED 

      FROM PROPERTY TAX:                           $ 67,247,137

 

Council Vice President D’Amico moved the item, seconded by Councilwoman Williamson.

 

Finance Director Benoit reported that the tax rate is going up by 1.92% or .43/$1000. The total budget is going up by $1,093,498.

F.         Appointment to Town Moderator - Norman L. Landroche

 

Councilwoman Williamson moved to appoint Judge Norman L. Landroche as Town Moderator, seconded by Council Vice President D’Amico.

Councilman Messier      Yes

Councilwoman Williamson    Yes 

Council VP D'Amico      Yes

Council Pres Gosselin           Yes

 

The vote was unanimous.

The comments of citizens accessing this portion of our meeting are neither adopted nor endorsed by this body but heard as requested.

 

Council President Gosselin thanked Town Manager Zmyslinski, Finance director Benoit, the department heads and everyone else who worked so hard putting the FY21 budget together.

 

H.         ADJOURN   

 

Councilman Messier made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Councilwoman Williamson. The vote was unanimous.

 

The meeting adjourned at 6:23 p.m.
