MOTION made by J. Messier, second by M. Williamson to move the request from Arpin Associates, LLC for abandonment of portion of Crudale Drive.
Attorney Thomas Cronin was in attendance on behalf of Arpin Associates LLC. He explained this is a request for a public hearing for a street abandonment. They are requesting the abandonment of a portion of Crudale Drive which is located in the West Warwick Business Park directly behind Arpin Associates. It is part of a subdivision plan that is pending before the Planning Board. They recently received master plan approval. The plan includes separating the warehouse from the office spaces. This portion of the road is undeveloped. It is a paper street. It is about a half of acre of land, and 372 feet long.
This item will be considered at the first meeting in June.
No action was taken.

Messier for approval of Ordinance #2021-06 Authorizing the Town of West Warwick to finance the design, construction, repair, rehabilitation and improvement of streets and sidewalks in the Town, Including but not limited to paving, drainage, traffic control devices, safety improvements, and landscaping by the issuance of not more than $7,000,000 bonds and/or notes therefor.

M. Williamson struggles with this purchase.
D. Ouellette explains that due to having less personnel he has $300,000 in excess funds. The two current packers that the Town has are in poor condition. He expects them to need replacement within the next few years.
J. Licciardi thinks it is good forward thinking. He agrees with the purchase.
K. Benoit confirms that the funds are available for the purchase.

D. Gosselin thanks the Artic Village Association for the Earth Day Cleanup. They had over 100 volunteers in attendance.
J. Licciardi asks about the foam at the Factory Street playground.
M. Williamson answers that M. Knott was working on it. He will be formalizing a proposal.
