01     Discussion/Action – Town Council Rules of Procedure

 

Council will review the proposed rules of procedure and review at the next Council meeting. 

 

02     Request from James and Ashley Rita for Abandonment of a Portion of Tiffany Avenue; and scheduling of Public Hearing

04     School Building Committee Update

 

M. Knott states that the School Building Committee has not met since the last Council meeting.  They would like to hold a joint session with the Town Council to provide a public information session.  He proposes April 3, 2024 at 5:00 P.M.   

 

J.          Upcoming Appointments

01     Sewer Use Board of Review – Appointment to fill a vacancy as an alternate member for three-year term

02     Sewer Use Board of Review – Appointment to fill a vacancy as a regular member for three-year term

03     West Warwick Housing Authority – Appointment to fill vacancy for five-year term expiring November 2027

04     Tax Assessment Board of Review -Appointment to fill a vacancy for three-year term

05     School Building Committee – Architectural, Engineering, Construction Experience

06     Tree Warden – Must be Licensed Arborist

07     Recreation Committee – Appointment to fill vacancy for three year term

           

K.         Public Forum

 

Palazzo, 5 Robin Lane, apologizes to the Police Department, as he has learned they already report potholes to the DPW. 

 

Michelle, employee of Child Inc., is here with some local families to share concerns.

 

Discussion ensues relative to mis-information that has been shared by Child Inc. regarding the Payan Street property. 

 

Juanita Roberts, 1585 Main Street, states that her youngest granddaughter attends Child Inc.  They have been a god send to their family.  Child Inc. provides good meals, support, and socialization.  She hopes that the taxpayers support Child Inc.

 

Sharron Deluca, of 10 Vincenzo Drive, heard that Child Inc. was going to close at a Child Inc. sub-committee meeting. 

 

Ashley Bodelis states that her two children attend Child Inc. and are thriving.
