PUBLIC HEARING FOR FY21 WWTF PROPOSED BUDGET
MEETING MINUTES

· The Wastewater Enterprise budget for FY21 is $9,325,341 which is a 2% increase from FY20.
· Usage Collections will remain at $3.55 per hundred cubic foot for West Warwick and regional reserve users for a 4000 cubic foot minimum charge per unit or edu.
· Mr. Geremia stated the industrial users surcharges have changed over the ordinance’s as follows:
1. BOD will be changed to $0.90 cents per pound of BOD removed
2. TSS will be changed to $0.97 cents per pound of TSS removed
3. Total nitrogen will be changed to $0.72 cents per pound of total nitrogen removed
4. Phosphorous will be changed to $2.74 per pound of Phosphorous removed
· Councilwoman Williamson asked why the increase. Mr. Geremia responded because of the increase of treatment in new permit numbers.
· Council Vice President D’Amico asked about The Trust’s 9% increase in Property and Liability. Ms. Suvajian stated she gets the numbers from The Trust and it increases every year.
· Councilwoman Williamson stated insurance costs are going up in general.
· Ms. Suvajian stated Worker’s Comp. insurance only went up 2%.
· Mr. Songolo stated the budget looks good.

A motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Messier and seconded by Councilwoman Williamson. All in favor none opposed.
