A.              Meeting called to order at 6:03 p.m. by Town Council President Gosselin

D.              Proposed WWTF FY25 Budget  (July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025)

·        Mr. Chapdelaine stated this is similar to the Budget Workshop and they are not looking for a rate increase this year. They are trying to be good financial Stewarts for the facility and rate payers. One increase they are looking for is in the overtime. This is based on a past three (3) year average. Another item area they wish to increase is the UV disinfection system. The upgrade to the system is an approved project, but they would still need to have adequate funding for any critical parts that they need prior to the upgrade being complete. Decrease would be severance and buy backs. They had a few people retire over the past couple of years, and they don’t plan on anyone retiring this year so they are decreasing that line item.

 

·        Mr. Corrente added that they are looking to increase the budget line for their sludge removal due to the annual CPI adjustment starting July 1, 2024. This will also allow for a few more off loads at Resource Recovery do to the ongoing issues they keep running into with the Synagro facility. Also, odor control increases from $61,500 to $71,700 to comply with DEM requirement regarding odor control.

 

·        Council President Gosselin asked if there were any questions from the council. There were none.

F.               A motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Messier and seconded by Council Vice President Williamson.  All in favor, none opposed and (5-0) voted to accept. Adjourned at 6.06 p.m.
