 1.    5:40 P.M.  CALL TO ORDER Video

 2.    POSSIBLE EXECUTIVE SESSION Video

 

Motion by Mr. McCuin, Seconded by Mr. Cooke, to go into executive session for discussion and/or action regarding those items of business exempt from open meetings under Rhode Island General Laws §42-46-4 and §42-46-5(a)(5) Land Disposition – 12 Ledward Avenue (AP 67, Lot 262), §42-46-5(a)(5) Land Disposition – 29 Noyes Avenue, Pawcatuck, CT (Plat/Lot 1-3-1), §42-46-5(a)(5) Land Disposition – Sale of Old Town Garage (AP 76, Lot 69), §42-46-5(a)(5) Land Disposition– Terrapat Drive (AP36, Lots 210, 212-217, 223-225), §42-46-5(a)(2) Potential Litigation and §42-46-5(a)(1) Personnel – Town Manager Annual Evaluation.  (Voted Unanimously by poll vote)

 

     Council President Duhamel announced that such person has been notified in writing and advised that they may require that such discussion be held at an open meeting.

 

5:43 P.M.  EXECUTIVE SESSION

 

     The purpose of this Executive Session was to discuss Land Disposition, Potential Litigation and Personnel.

6:12 P.M.  Voted Unanimously to adjourn and seal the minutes of this Executive Session.

 

6:15 P.M.  Reconvened Open Session.

 

 

 3.    EXECUTIVE SESSION REPORTS Video

 

a.     July 20, 2020 Executive Session

 

     Council President Duhamel announced that the Council, under Litigation, was updated on the Opioid litigation settlement terms and no action was taken, under Land Disposition, discussed Tarrapat Drive and directed the Town Manager to obtain additional information from staff, under Land Disposition, discussed the sale of the Old Town Garage and directed the Town Manager and the Town Solicitor to move forward with a Purchase and Sale Agreement, and, under Personnel, did not discuss the Town Manager's evaluation.

 

Motion by Mr. Cooke, Seconded by Mr. McCuin, that the July 20, 2020 Executive Session minutes be sealed.  (Voted Unanimously)

 

b.     August 3, 2020 Executive Session

 

     Council President Duhamel announced that the Council, under Land Disposition, discussed 12 Ledward Avenue and directed that the property be listed for sale, under Land Disposition, discussed 29 Noyes Avenue in Pawcatuck, CT and directed that the property be listed for sale, under Land Disposition, was apprised of the Purchase and Sale Agreement that was executed for the Old Town Garage, under Land Disposition, discussed Terrapat Drive and directed that title to the property be perfected for future sale, under Potential Litigation, was apprised of a lawsuit, and, under Personnel, discussed the Town Manager's Evaluation and directed the Town Solicitor to update his employment contract.

 

Motion by Ms. Cioffi, Seconded by Mr. McCuin, that the August 3, 2020 Executive Session minutes be sealed.  (Voted Unanimously)

 

 

4.     ADJOURNMENT Video
