 2.    NEW BUSINESS

 

a.     Proposed Ordinance – “An Ordinance Adopting And Enacting A New Comprehensive Plan Pursuant To R.I.G.L. 45-22.2-8 And The Westerly Town Charter Article 12; Providing For When Such Ordinance And New comprehensive Plan Become Effective; And Repealing All Previous Comprehensive Plans For The Town Of Westerly, Rhode Island” (Commercial Recreational Zoning/Golf Courses and Rights-Of-Way To The Shore/River)

        (Order Adv. for Public Hearing on 1/4/2021)

 

Planning Board recommendation filed 11/30/2020

 

Motion by Ms. Giorno, Seconded by Mr. McCuin, that the aforesaid proposed ordinance be ordered advertised for public hearing on January 4, 2021.  (So Voted 5 to 1 – Councilor Overton dissented; Councilor Cooke abstained)

 

 

 3.    POSSIBLE EXECUTIVE SESSION

 

Motion by Mr. Cooke, Seconded by Mr. McCuin, to go into executive session for discussion and/or action regarding those items of business exempt from open meetings under Rhode Island General Laws §42-46-4 and §42-46-5(a)(5) Land Disposition – Terrapat Drive (AP36, Lots 210, 212-217, 223-225) and §42-46-5(a)(2) Litigation Update.  (Voted Unanimously by poll vote)

 

5:40 P.M.  EXECUTIVE SESSION

 

     The purpose of this Executive Session was to discuss Land Disposition and Litigation.

Executive Session Report

 

     Acting Town Solicitor Conley announced that no votes were taken in the Executive Session regarding Land Disposition and Litigation Update.

 

Motion by Mr. Cooke, Seconded by Mr. McCuin, that the Executive Session minutes be sealed.  (Voted Unanimously)

 

 

 4.    ADJOURNMENT
