 2.    PY2019 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Application

        (Order Adv. for Public Hearing on 6/22/20)

 

Motion by Mr. Cooke, that the PY2019 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Application be ordered advertised for public hearing on June 22, 2020.

 

     Councilor Cooke withdrew his motion.

 

Motion by Mr. Aiello, Seconded by Mr. Cooke, that the PY2019 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Application be ordered advertised for public hearing on June 22, 2020 and include the alternate recommendation for accessibility improvements to the intersection of Bowling Lane and North Main Street in the event another project is not achievable, and the motion failed.  (Voted 2 to 5 – Councilors Cioffi, Giorno, Ahern, McCuin and Council President Duhamel dissented)

 

Motion by Ms. Cioffi, Seconded by Mr. Cooke, that the PY2019 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Application be ordered advertised for public hearing on June 22, 2020.  (Voted Unanimously)

 

     Items 3 through 6 were removed from the agenda by a vote of the Council at the Committee of the Whole Workshop that preceded this meeting:

 

 3.    Resolution Authorizing The Town Manager To Sign Access & Easement Agreements Associated With The US Army Corps Of Engineers (ACOE) Aquatic Ecosystem Restoration Project For Winnapaug Pond Between The Town Of Westerly And The Rhode Island Department Of Environmental Management (RIDEM)/State Of Rhode Island (AP 166, Lots 008 and 009 and AP 156, Lots 051 and 052)

 

 4.    Resolution Authorizing The Town Manager To Sign Access & Easement Agreements Associated With The US Army Corps Of Engineers (ACOE) Aquatic Ecosystem Restoration Project For Winnapaug Pond Between The Town Of Westerly And Stephen Crandall (AP 156, Lot 50)

 6.    Resolution Authorizing The Town Manager To Sign Access & Easement Agreements Associated With The US Army Corps Of Engineers (ACOE) Aquatic Ecosystem Restoration Project For Winnapaug Pond Between The Town Of Westerly And The Weekapaug Fire District (AP 156, Lot 53)

 

 7.    Proposed Ordinance – “An Ordinance In Amendment Of Chapter 76 Of The Westerly Code Of Ordinances Entitled “Animals’” (Add Article V – Pet Day Care Facility)

        (Order Adv. for Public Hearing on 6/22/20)

 

Motion by Mr. Cooke, Seconded by Ms. Giorno, that the aforesaid proposed ordinance be ordered advertised for public hearing on June 22, 2020.  (Voted Unanimously)

 

 8.    Proposed Ordinance – “An Ordinance In Amendment Of Chapter 121 Of The Westerly Code Of Ordinances Entitled ‘Fee Schedule’” (Add Pet day care facility - $50.00 annual fee)

        (Order Adv. for Public Hearing on 6/22/20)

 

Motion by Mr. Cooke, Seconded by Ms. Giorno, that the aforesaid proposed ordinance be ordered advertised for public hearing on June 22, 2020.  (Voted Unanimously)
