Motion by Ms. Giorno, Seconded by Mr. Aiello, to go into executive session for discussion and/or action regarding those items of business exempt from open meetings under Rhode Island General Laws §42-46-4 and§42-46-5(a)(1) Personnel – Job Performance, Character, Physical or Mental Health of a Person; §42-46-5(a)(1) Personnel – Job Performance, Character, Physical or Mental Health of a Person; §42-46-5(a)(2) Litigation – James Crowley v. Town of Westerly and Officer David Turano – A.A. No.: WC-2019-0027; §42-46-5(a)(2) & (5) Potential Litigation – James Street Right-of-Way.  (Voted Unanimously by poll vote with Councilor McCuin absent)

Executive Session Report

 

     Council President Duhamel announced that the Council discussed Personnel, after which a four to two vote was taken and the motion did not carry, and that the Council discussed Litigation and Potential Litigation and no action was taken.

 

Motion by Mr. Cooke, Seconded by Ms. Giorno, that the Executive Session minutes be sealed.  (Voted Unanimously)
