 2.    COVID 19 (Coronavirus Outbreak) – Update by Town Officials

Present:   Dr. Mark Garceau, School Superintendent

                 Lisa Konicki, President, Ocean Community Chamber of Commerce

     Council President Duhamel announced that the Emergency Meeting was being held to update the Westerly residents about the COVID-19 virus in the interest of the health, safety and welfare of the public. 

     Council President Duhamel, Town Manager Rooney, School Superintendent Garceau and Chamber President Konicki updated the community on the efforts being taken by the Town, the School Department and the Chamber of Commerce to protect the public against the coronavirus outbreak while trying to maintain a stable local economy.
