Regular Meeting – February 10, 2022
Motion by Mr. Gencarella, Seconded by Ms. Belanger, that the aforesaid minutes be accepted and approved as printed. (Voted Unanimously)

B Victualer Liquor License Stockholder Transfer
Golden Chopstix Inc
dba: Golden Chopstix 62 Franklin St
Present: Ping Li Zhu, Owner
Terry Tsang, representing Golden Chopstix
Mr. Tsang explained the transfer stating that the business is not being sold, but is being handed over to an employee of the establishment. He stated that the new owner will be applying for a new Tax Identification number due to liability concerns.
The Clerk explained that the Division of Taxation does not agree with the way the application was advertised as a stockholder transfer and that it should have been advertised as a new license transfer. She stated that the Division of Taxation might not authorize the transfer as is.
Town Solicitor Conely stated that he has no objection to granting of license.
Motion by Mr. Gencarella, Seconded by Ms. Belanger, that the aforesaid license be granted subject to the prior approval of proper authorities and pending transfer from the Division of Taxation. (Voted Unanimously)
Motion by Mr. Gencarella, Seconded by Ms. Thoman-Miller, to close the Public Hearing. (Voted Unanimously)

Ms. Thoman-Miller recused due to a possible conflict of interest being that sheis an employee of the aforesaid establishment.
Motion by Mr. Gencarella, Seconded by Ms. Belanger, that the aforesaid license be granted subject to the prior approval of proper authorities. (So Voted 3 to 0; Ms. Thoman-Miller recused)

The Clerk informed he Board that there has been no response from the aforesaid establishment. She stated that she will have the police ensure that the business is not operating pursuant to the Cease and Desist order.

The Clerk informed the Board that the aforesaid establishment has come into compliance.

Present: John Whitney, owner
Mr. Whitney informed the Board that the electrician visited the establishment today to make corrections and that he is awaiting an inspection by the Fire Department.
Renewed – In process of coming into compliance
Providence Coal Fire Pizza – Temporarily Closed 162 Granite St
Present: David Bertolini, owner
Mr. Bertolin explained that his attorney and accountant are working with the state to appeal a 2020 and that the establishment is looking to open in May. He stated that the operation will be seasonal to be closed during the months of January and February.
Granite One Hour Photo 116 Granite St
The Clerk informed the Board that the aforesaid establishment has come into compliance.
Gray’s Boatyard 91 Watch Hill Rd
The Clerk informed the Board that there has been no response from the aforesaid establishment. She stated that she will have the police ensure that the business is not operating pursuant to the Cease and Desist order.
Cornerstone Inn 234 Post Road
The Clerk informed the Board that Cornerstone Inn is under new ownership; that the name of the storage facility, as well as the motel, is being changed; that a new application has been filed; and that approvals are being sought.
Home Depot #4284 267 Post Rd
The Clerk informed the Board that the aforesaid establishment has come into compliance.
