8. NEW BUSINESS
a. Conditions of Beverage Licenses Rules & Regulations – Discussion and Possible Action
Discussion was held regarding Rule #23 Rule, which states that “Each licensed establishment shall at all times remain open during the hours authorized under the laws of the State of RI and further no establishment shall close or shorten its hours without first obtaining special permission from the Licensing Board.”
Town Solicitor Garcia stated that he would review the condition and report back to the Licensing Board.
Motion by Mr. Abate, Seconded by Ms. Vorenkamp, that the aforesaid Conditions of Beverage Licenses Rules & Regulations be tabled to the October 12, 2023 meeting. (Voted Unanimously)
b. Rules of Procedure to Govern Licensing Board For 2023-2024 – Discussion and Possible Action
Motion by Mr. Iacoi, Seconded by Ms. Vorenkamp, that the aforesaid Rules of Procedure to Govern Licensing Board for 2023-2024 be adopted. (Voted Unanimously)
c. 2024 Licensing Board Meeting Dates & Times – Discussion and Possible Action
Motion by Ms. Thoman-Miller, Seconded by Mr. Abate, that the aforesaid 2024 Licensing Board Meeting Dates and Times be adopted. (Voted Unanimously)
