Present: Caswell Cooke, Jr., Executive Director, Misquamicut Business Association

Mr. Cooke explained how the alcoholic beverages for the event are procured and sold and the restricted area where it can be consumed. He reported that the State gets 10% of the liquor sales. He stated that there have been no incidents with alcohol over the past 16 years that the Spring and Fall events have been held. He stated that the Association and the Town follow all guidelines required by the State and that the Association pays the State a $5,000 impact fee for use of the State Beach parking lot. He explained the hiring of DEM officers and additional staff for security and parking.

Motion by Mr. Abate, Seconded by Ms. Thoman-Miller, that the aforesaid license be granted subject to the prior approval of proper authorities. (Voted Unanimously)
