4.      Announcements: (Town Manager)    (TM)

·       Community Electricity Aggregation Program is launching. Announcements have been mailed to customers of RI Energy in Barrington. Customers are automatically in the program unless they Opt-Out. For more, go to BarringtonCommunityElectricity.com.

·       Stronger Together, a mental health awareness training for town leadership, is being offered on March 27th and April 5th and a presentation on Anxiety by Ellen Flannery-Schroeder in conjunction with a Health Fair on May 3rd

·       Thursday, March 23, RI Blood Center Mobile Drive – Barrington Town Hall/Library Parking Lot from 2 to 7 p.m.

·       Registration is now open now until noon Thursday, March 16th, for the Random Drawing for boat and kayak storage stickers. Go to www.peckcenter.org. Random Drawing will be on Wednesday, March 22, at 1:30 p.m. at the Peck Center for Adult Enrichment.

·       April 1st, registration for BEACH CAMPOUT begins.

·       Recreation Department is seeking a) certified lifeguards and b) camp counselors who are college students.

·       Nayatt 5K Road Race on April 1, 2023, 9:00am – 2:00pm.

·       Sunday, June 11, 2023:  Recreation Department’s Annual Arts Festival along with Barrington Business and Community Association Street Fair.

·       FEMA approved the Town’s Hazard Mitigation & Flood Management Plan on Feb. 5, 2023.

·       Tree Planting & Removal:  February 1, 2022 – January 31, 2023 – 57 trees removed/110 trees planted.
